It's me... again... how disappointing.
My last post was quite negative. I read another post where someone made a list of things they miss, so I'm going to do that and then make a list of things I am grateful for during this time.
Here's what I miss:
I miss staying up until 1 am with my best friend, sending each other tiktoks and talking about everything from what we're going to wear tomorrow to existential crises. I miss her boyfriend, Hayden, who feels like a brother that's been in my life forever.
I miss going on little dates with my boyfriend every week, even if that just means ordering pizza and watching a movie in my cozy room. I miss his hugs when I'm sad or stressed that make all of my problems go away.
I miss my chaotic decor in my dorm room, especially the shrek tapestry and the random picture next to our mirror that says "get happy"
I miss waking up at 7 am to go to my favorite class with some of my favorite people.
I miss hiking in Joe Creason.
I miss ReFIT.
I miss going to UDH with my friends and screaming the entire way back to our dorms.
I miss getting pizza and watching movies or playing DND.
I miss my friends and I miss school.
Now here's what I'm thankful for:
I'm thankful that any of the things I miss ever happened.
I'm thankful for animal crossing.
I'm thankful for my family... my parents, my brother, everyone
I'm thankful for nice weather when it happens.
I'm thankful for all of the amazing people in my life, whether I met them through school or not. I'm so happy to have people in my life that support me in the ways these people do.
I'm thankful for my pets... they keep me sane even when they're acting crazy.
I'm thankful for my stupid boyfriend.
I'm thankful for my cozy baby yoda sweatshirt.
I'm thankful for books, netflix, music, and art.
Quarantine has made me realize the things I normally take for granted and made me love my life, even when I'm sad. It's been so nice to reflect on life during this time and just recognize the amazing things in my life. This isn't a complete list of things I miss or things I appreciate. I can't list everything, that would go on too long and everyone would get bored, but if you're wondering if I miss it or if I appreciate it, just assume I do.
